Lauren Blauvelt Named to Time’s Annual TIME100 List of the 100 Most Influential People in the World

Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio recognized for her work to pass Issue 1

(COLUMBUS, April 17) – TIME named Lauren Blauvelt to the 2024 TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The full list and related tributes appear in the April 29, 2024  issue of TIME, available on newsstands on Friday, April 19, and now at time.com/time100

Lauren Blauvelt, executive director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, shared: “Our success enshrining abortion into Ohio’s Constitution proves that protecting the right to abortion is possible in every state, regardless of party politics. Abortion rights advocates cannot afford to be timid and neither can the candidates running to win our support. Boldly and vocally supporting abortion access is good politics and even better policy. Everyone deserves the right to bodily autonomy–regardless of zip code, race, immigration status, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Abortion is health care, and health care is a human right.”

The list recognizes the impact, innovation, and achievement of the world’s most influential individuals. We are so proud that Lauren will be nationally recognized for her incredible work advancing reproductive freedom in Ohio over the last 14 years. She is the executive director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio and served as co-chair for Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights, the coalition that enshrined abortion rights into Ohio’s Constitution last November.
