Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio Announces Match for Abortion Fund Of Ohio’s Annual Fund-A-Thon
Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio will match up to $3,000 to help Abortion Fund of Ohio’s $100,000 goal
(COLUMBUS, April 18) – Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio is proud to donate $3,000 to Abortion Fund of Ohio's Annual Fund-A-Thon. This money will go towards practical support necessary for those seeking an abortion.
Lauren Blauvelt, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, shared: “By providing $3,000 to AFO and encouraging our supporters to match us, we can help folks and their families by covering the cost of abortion, travel, lodging, childcare, and other necessary resources. We are glad we can help AFO get closer to their $100,000 goal.”
Abortion Fund of Ohio (AFO) is Ohio's statewide abortion fund. They provide essential resources that support people seeking an abortion. PPAO and AFO, alongside our reproductive rights, health, and justice partners, enshrined reproductive freedom in our state Constitution last year. We are proud to support their Fund-A-Thon to provide support to those seeking an abortion. There is still much work to be done. Extremist politicians in Ohio and across the nation are still trying to increase barriers to abortion.
We show up for our community when we fund abortion. We ask our supporters to join us in this year’s match to double our impact. All donations are tax-deductible up to the amount permitted by law. The match begins today, April 18, 2024, and ends on April 24, 2024.
