Concord, NH  –  Voters in New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District made their voices heard November 6 and voted decisively to reelect reproductive health champion Congresswoman Annie Kuster, who was endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

Serving her district since 2012, Congresswoman Kuster is a tireless fighter for reproductive rights, who has made protecting and expanding access to reproductive health care services
 –  including safe, legal abortion  –  one of her top priorities.

Congresswoman Kuster’s reelection is especially worth celebrating considering reproductive health care is on the line in the Granite State and our country like never before. The Trump-Pence administration and some extreme members of Congress have undermined reproductive health and rights since day one. They attempted to take health care coverage away from 20 million people, tried time and time again to block patients from coming to Planned Parenthood health centers for care, attacked immigrant communities’ access to health care, ended protections for survivors of sexual assault on campus, and allowed providers to deny health care to LGBTQ people. And most recently, they confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

Women’s rights are the number one issue driving people to take political action. In response to these attacks, people fought back -- marching in the streets, mobilizing their communities, and voting at the polls. It lead to huge electoral victories today.

Quote from Sabrina Dunlap, Vice President of Public Policy, Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund.

“New Hampshire voters just sent a clear message to politicians: if you support blocking access to health care, you lose. Congresswoman Kuster has always put reproductive health care and reproductive rights front and center and worked to protect access to health care for all people in the Granite State. Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed Congresswoman Kuster because access to reproductive health care is on the line in our country and our state. Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund stands ready to continue to work with her to protect and expand access to reproductive health care in New Hampshire and protect funding for the essential services that Planned Parenthood provides.”

Nationally, Planned Parenthood Votes and Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations made their largest investment ever in a midterm cycle – $20 million in March.Vote.Win – in addition to Planned Parenthood Votes’ partnership with Color of Change PAC, Center for Community Change Action, and SEIU in a joint effort called Win Justice. Through March.Vote.Win., the partnership with the Win Justice coalition, and local Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations, the 2018 electoral program reached 4.5 million voters and made nearly 3 million door knocks.
