CONCORD -  Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund PAC (PPNHAF PAC) announced Tuesday it has endorsed a strong group of women running for the New Hampshire Senate:

  • Anne Grassie - candidate, District 6

  • Jenn Alford-Teaster - candidate, District 8

  • Shannon Chandley - candidate, District 11

  • Melanie Levesque - candidate, District 12

  • Cindy Rosenwald - candidate, District 13

PPNHAF PAC has evaluated each candidate’s positions on reproductive health care access and endorsed candidates who will be champions for the protection of reproductive health care in the Granite State.

PPNHAF PAC also recommends incumbents Senator Martha Hennessey, District 5, Senator Donna Soucy, District 18, and Senator Martha Fuller Clark, District 21, for the state Senate. These incumbent candidates have worked for years to shape a positive future for the health, well-being, and economic security of Granite State women and families.

The five endorsed candidates will join the incumbent senators to stand up for policies that will protect and expand access to contraception, protect safe, legal abortion care, and defend Planned Parenthood health centers, which thousands of Granite Staters rely on for quality, affordable health care.

Across the country, more women than ever are stepping up to run for office because they know what’s at stake. New Hampshire is no different - many women running for office are making it clear to their opponents that voters will not support candidates who want to defund Planned Parenthood.

Statement from Sabrina Dunlap, Chair, Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund PAC:

“We are fortunate to have such a strong group of women running for the state Senate, all of whom understand that the stakes are higher than ever to protect access to quality, affordable health care for New Hampshire women and families. In the past two years alone, nearly a dozen legislative proposals came before the state legislature that threatened to restrict health care access and put roadblocks between women and access to safe, legal abortion care. Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund PAC has endorsed candidates who have demonstrated that they will put the health and safety of New Hampshire’s women and families before politics, and will stand up and fight to expand and protect health care for all Granite State communities.”
