Atlanta — In April Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates (PPSEA) endorsed Stacey Abrams as the next Governor of Georgia. As a fierce advocate for Georgia’s women and families and with the support of social justice advocates like Planned Parenthood, she is uniquely poised to fundamentally alter the political landscape of the state.

Today, PPSEA announces it’s first round of candidates to fill out that slate with Stacey Abrams at the top. PPSEA proudly supports the following candidates who have committed to act as strong advocates for Planned Parenthood and the communities who rely on the quality health care provided every day. Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations represent young women and men, low-income women, the LGBT community, and communities of color --- all who are hit the hardest by constant attacks on reproductive health care. These endorsed candidates will play a pivotal role for all Georgians’ ability to make their own health care decisions.

“Let’s be clear --- reproductive rights and health are on the ballot in 2018 and we are in the fight of our lives over bodily autonomy” states Staci Fox, President & CEO of Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates. “We are proud to stand with candidates throughout Georgia who have pledged to boldly protect Planned Parenthood and the thousands of Georgians who rely on us every year for health care. This is about so much more than Planned Parenthood. Health care for an entire generation is at stake.”

PPSEA will announce additional endorsements over the coming weeks.
