As the fight to prevent Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court continues, Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates (PPSEA) shared your stories with Senator Doug Jones to thank him for his support and to urge him to oppose Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.
Alabama organizers Shibani Chakrabarty and Nicole Watkins worked to compile stories from PPSEA supporters and collected hundreds of postcards over the past few months, which they delivered to Sen. Jones’ office on September 12.
The stories focused on a wide range of topics related to women’s health and the Affordable Care Act, two causes that would be under a clear and immediate threat if Kavanaugh was confirmed to the bench.
Together with the postcards written to thank Jones, they were designed to remind the senator that he still has the support of women across the state during his fight to help us #StopKavanaugh!
If you would still like to show your support for Jones during the Kavanaugh confirmation battle, you can still call his office at (202) 684-2473 and let him know we’re counting on him!
