We Demand Justice.
These last weeks have been devastating as we watched continued violence against our Black communities, and the rage and pain coming from these communities across the country.
This unacceptable, white supremacist state-sanctioned violence comes at a time when communities are already physically and emotionally exhausted as they deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to disproportionately affect Black communities.
Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado mourns the tragic and unnecessary death of George Floyd, who was murdered by Minneapolis police, and the countless other Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) who have been victim to systemic racism and police brutality in our country.
Enough is enough.
We see you. We hear you. We are here with you.

We Demand More.
We know that racism is a public health crisis, with Black and Brown communities facing disproportionate impacts on health care access and quality care everyday. Reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy are not possible until every individual is free to live a life without fear of violence.
Our support of the Black Lives Matter movement means we are turning inward and dedicating ourselves to calling out injustice and reckoning with our own institutionalized racism long-term. We have so much work ahead of us, and we are grateful to do this important work alongside you. To our non-Black supporters, we encourage you to educate yourselves and support Black-led organizations in your communities doing this work.
Please join us in donating to, following, and becoming a member of Black-led organizations in Colorado which are deeply entrenched in racial justice work: Soul2Soul Sisters, Black Lives Matter 5280, Center for African American Health and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People State Conference.
