Today, March 9, 2017, HB1186, Health Coverage Prescription Contraceptives Supply passed 8-3 in the House Committee Hearing.
Coloradoans in need of contraception will be able to pick up to 12 months of birth control at a time.
"This will have an incredible, positive impact on women who work under unpredictable schedules and those who live in rural areas. This is an incredible accomplishment, we are thankful to House Representative Brittany Petterson for chamioning this legislation," said Ashley Wheeland, Senior Director Policy and Political Director of Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado.
