COLUMBIA — Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic (PPVSAT), the separately incorporated political arm of the reproductive health nonprofit, announced today a slate of 52 endorsed candidates in South Carolina’s 2022 general election.

The organization's list of candidates includes Joe Cunningham for governor and Tally Casey for lieutenant governor as well as candidates for the state House of Representatives.

“This November, it is critical that we make our voices heard in South Carolina and elect leaders who will trust us to make our own decisions about our lives, our families, and our bodies,” said Vicki Ringer, Director of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic. “Henry McMaster and current leadership at the State House have promised to inflict more harm on South Carolinians by continuing their crusade to completely ban abortion without exceptions. There can be no doubt that reproductive freedom is on the ballot this year. We are proud to endorse Joe Cunningham and this slate of committed legislative candidates who will put people before politics and defend our essential freedoms once in office.”

Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, has endorsed Annie Andrews and Jim Clyburn for U.S. House. View the full list of Action Fund endorsements here.
