New Jersey reproductive health and rights supporters to rally to keep abortion safe and legal
Planned Parenthood supporters will unveil plan to stand up for access to safe, legal abortion
Thursday, September 6 at 12:00 p.m.
TRENTON, NJ — New Jersey supporters of reproductive health and rights will rally in Trenton, on Thursday, September 6, 2018, to stand up for safe and legal abortion access in New Jersey and beyond. In light of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, in addition to continual attacks on access to abortion and birth control at the federal level, Planned Parenthood supporters will make their voices heard in support of access to abortion and reproductive health care in New Jersey — and across the country.
WHAT: Rally to support abortion access and oppose Judge Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination
WHEN: Thursday, September 6 at 12 noon
WHERE: Trenton, NJ (Please RSVP for exact location)
WHO:
Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg
Senator Troy Singleton
Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle
Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds Jackson
Christian Fuscarino, Garden State Equality
Christine Sadovy, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey
With the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court, legal abortion is at an unprecedented risk. Many predict that a Trump’s nominee would be a vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, the decision that made abortion legal across the country. Combined with Trump-Pence administration attacks on Title X funding of family planning, women’s health and rights are at grave risk. New Jersey supporters of reproductive rights will rally in Trenton to stand with statewide elected leaders to take action to safeguard women’s rights and to protect women’s health.
Reporters must RSVP to attend. Please contact Casey Olesko ([email protected] or 973-775-2781) to RSVP. You will receive the exact address when you RSVP.
