TRENTON, NJ – As the 2024-2025 New Jersey legislative session begins, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey welcomes the 18 newly elected legislators who received an endorsement from the organization. This new class of elected officials is poised to protect access to reproductive health care services, ensuring New Jersey remains a national leader in reproductive freedom. In total, 69 of Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey’s endorsed candidates will be serving in the legislature this session.

Statement from Jackie Cornell, Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey:

“In November, we saw landslide wins for the candidates who unequivocally ran on their support for reproductive freedom. Voters made their message clear: protect access to abortion.

“Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey is proud of our collective impact: knocking on doors, making phone calls, and robust voter turnout throughout the state. Now, we turn our attention to the legislative session. We look forward to our collaboration with returning champions and newly-elected legislators to ensure everyone who steps foot in the Garden State can access the reproductive health care services they need.

“As states like Idaho and Texas continue to put egregious and dangerous restrictions on abortion access, it’s more important than ever for New Jersey’s legislators to listen to the constituents who elected them and pass policy that supports access to a full range of reproductive health care.”
