How to Vote This Year

In 2020, here's what you need to know about how to vote in Indiana:

  • Indiana voters can vote in-person or by mail
    • To vote by mail you must have either;
      • a specific, reasonable expectation you will be absent from your voting precinct,
      • a disability,
      • be at least 65 years of age,
      • or meet one of the other criteria (see those here).
  • You can apply for your vote by mail ballot online, by mail or hand delivery, or via email

October 5

Deadline to register to vote.

October 6

First day to vote absentee in-person.

October 22

Deadline for absentee by mail applications to be received.

November 3

Election Day!

Mail in ballots must be received by Election Day.
