Planned Parenthood Advocates of Iowa PAC

PPAI PAC (est. 1998) is a non-partisan political action committee. We are committed to supporting candidates for state and local office who are steadfast in their support for sexual and reproductive health care, abortion access, and reproductive freedom.

The political work of PPAI PAC helps Planned Parenthood North Central States care for its patients and educate the community by ensuring our elected in state and national legislatures will protect and strengthen access to patient-focused health care, increase access to inclusive, medically-accurate sexuality education, and support laws Iowans need to thrive

The 2022 Election in Iowa

Earlier this year, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, obliterating federal protections to abortion. The decision came just one week after the Iowa Supreme Court weakened state protections to abortions. Abortion is still legal in Iowa, but we are going to have to fight like hell to keep it that way. Our first test in this fight is the election in November. We have the chance to replace Governor Kim Reynolds and elect leaders up and down the ballot that will fight for sexual and reproductive health care—including abortion—for all Iowans.
