Today, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin (PPAWI) announced its endorsement of Attorney General Josh Kaul’s reelection campaign.

Statement from Tanya Atkinson, President of PPAWI:

“PPAWI is proud to endorse Attorney General Josh Kaul’s reelection campaign. Time and time again, Attorney General Kaul has worked to demonstrate his commitment to advancing reproductive rights by advocating for fairness and actively working to remove barriers to reproductive health care. That unwavering commitment to protect people’s ability to make their own reproductive health care decisions is more important than ever.

With the U.S. Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe v. Wade and the possibility that Wisconsin’s criminal abortion ban could go into effect, Attorney General Josh Kaul is not afraid to do what it takes to fight for reproductive freedom. Attorney General Kaul understands what is at stake and believes that people need to be trusted to make their own health care decisions and access the health care they need.

Since he was elected, Attorney General Kaul has proactively signed onto multiple amicus briefs to fight voter suppression, discrimination in health care and  support reproductive rights. Most recently Kaul joined with 23 other Attorneys Generals in supporting the U.S. Department of Justice’s challenge of Texas’ extreme abortion ban and has vocally championed legislation that would repeal Wisconsin’s criminal abortion ban.

Josh Kaul believes everyone should have the freedom and power to control their own bodies and lives and is the Attorney General Wisconsin needs. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin is grateful for the Attorney General’s leadership and we look forward to working with him during his second term.”
