Brett Kavanaugh will sit today before the U.S. Senate for his confirmation hearing. Donald Trump has made clear that his Supreme Court nominee would “automatically” overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court case that affirmed the constitutional right to access abortion in this country. Both Scott Walker and Leah Vukmir want to ban all abortion and have rushed to support Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Quote from Nicole Safar Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin (PPAWI):

“Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court has put the ability of a woman to make her own health care decisions on the line. This is not hypothetical in Wisconsin. If Roe v. Wade is overturned, abortion will immediately become a crime in our state. Scott Walker and Leah Vukmir both want to ban abortion and have been consistently working to block women’s health care access every chance they get, so it’s no surprise they support Kavanaugh. That’s why PPAWI is making sure our patients and supporters know what’s at stake with this nomination – and why it’s critical to vote this November.”
