PLANNED PARENTHOOD EMPIRE  STATE  VOTES  PAC: FIGHTING FOR NY LEADERSHIP THAT PROTECTS ACCESS TO CARE.

Decades of tactical planning by anti-abortion politicians and advocates paved the way for the overturning of Roe v Wade, stripping millions of their bodily autonomy. We are now facing unprecedented Federal and State attacks against access to sexual and reproductive healthcare across the country. In this current landscape, the fight to protect care is at the state level. We continue to ensure that New York is led by unabashedly pro-reproductive and sexual health elected officials in our State Senate, State Assembly and in the Executive Mansion.

Our Governor has made critical investments that helped providers fortify access to abortion care, and our Attorney General remains steadfast in her commitment to defending our rights to all sexual and reproductive health care. In 2022, our champions took action and responded to the Dobbs decision by enacting laws and providing funding to protect providers and patient access. In 2025, our Governor stepped in to backfill a federal Medicaid defund that would have devastated Planned Parenthood health centers in New York.

We have a long history of working with candidates who know what is at stake and pushing them to elevate our issues on the campaign trail and once they are elected. Since inception of the PPESV PAC, we have allocated over $173,000 to candidates and campaign work. We must continue to be at the table politically to keep our issues top of mind. This is a battle for bodily autonomy and empowering those most vulnerable to make choice about their healthcare, not politicians. By supporting pro-reproductive health candidates, we are able to build relationships and influence policy.

PPESV PAC needs your support to build a strong and aggressive PAC program to protect what we have fought so hard to gain. Your donation will enable PPESV PAC to support pro-reproductive freedom candidates through direct monetary contributions and coordinated campaign assistance.

This work is critical to maintain a State Legislature and statewide leadership that stands up for the health and rights of all New Yorkers. We are fighting for a world where everyone has access to health care and control of their bodies, their lives, and their futures.

Our Action Plan

This election cycle is an opportunity to demonstrate Planned Parenthood’s power by protecting our champions and adding pro-sexual and reproductive health leaders to our state legislature.

Over the coming months leading up to election day, PPESV PAC will:

  1. Conduct an in-depth analysis to identify target districts across the state where we can play an effective role in supporting pro-reproductive health and rights candidates.
  2. Use this information to provide the necessary support to both defend vulnerable seats held by legislators who have supported our mission and convert seats held by those who have not.
  3. Leverage our statewide reach and experience working with legislators to frame discussions with voters regarding advocacy for reproductive freedom throughout the election cycle.
