With the Ensuring Health and Safety for All Youth Act:
- Each public school district in Illinois would provide age-appropriate, medically-accurate, and inclusive personal health and safety education in grades K-5 and age-appropriate, medically accurate, and inclusive sexual health education in grades 6-12.
- Parents will continue to have the right to remove their child from such instruction.
School districts retain local control to
- select their own curriculum and materials.
- Determine in which grades there will be programming and for how many minutes per grade.
