Strengthening Illinois as a haven state for abortion access!
After the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade, Illinois became a haven state for abortion access. And even though we have made strides to make sure that a foundation of access exists in Illinois, there are still barriers to receiving equitable care. We are fighting to make sure that everybody has access to the abortion care they need and deserve!
Streamline regulation and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles to care
We are working with the General Assembly and the Executive Branch to cut red tape that causes issues for patients and providers.
Expanding the pool of providers
We are working with the Pritzker administration to expand the scope of practice for Advanced Practice Clinicians. Through these efforts, we will have more providers able to serve abortion patients in Illinois.
Ensuring equitable access to reproductive health care
Although Illinois is a haven for abortion care, access is not equally available across the state. Some areas don't have reliable family planning services, including abortion care. Help us address these inequities and ensure equitable access to essential care for ALL.
