Our Pink Action Forums are information sessions for people interested in volunteering at Planned Parenthood! You'll get to meet our organizers and supporters and learn about the work we do at PPMEAF. We'll tell you about the various ways you can get involved and help you sign up for upcoming volunteer shifts. We'll also go over the issues affecting reproductive rights here in Maine and nationally.
Last summer, Planned Parenthood Maine worked with leading researchers to prove that our Bridging the Gap project can reduce abortion stigma, while also increasing the likelihood that voters support pro-reproductive health policies and actions!
Our October trainings will be split up over two nights.
When: October 29 + 30 @ 5–8:30 p.m.
Where: 443 Congress St., Portland
Maine supporters and special guests from other Planned Parenthood affiliates will learn about abortion as a medical and political issue, develop and hear abortion stories, challenge their own stigma, and learn techniques to use our proven, revolutionary new canvassing method to effectively talk with voters about abortion and abortion stigma.
You'll use these skills to reduce abortion stigma while canvassing with Planned Parenthood and other campaigns, but you'll also find yourself using the techniques in your day-to-day lives. Attending this training will be a great way to get excited and get ready for 2020!
Join PPMEAF for a forum on the various policies we've been working on in Maine and how national issues are affecting us locally. Learn about the issues we've been tackling and talk to us directly about our work.
