Statement from Nicole Clegg, Acting CEO, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England:

“Today’s Supreme Court order is a victory for reproductive health and bodily autonomy.

For now, mifepristone remains safe, legal, and accessible in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont and Planned Parenthood of Northern New England will proudly continue offering this critical care to patients.

This is good news, but let’s be clear: access to mifepristone should never have been in jeopardy in the first place and our fight is not yet over. This case underscores what we already knew - extreme politicians and judges will stop at nothing to block access to abortion, here in New Hampshire and across the country.

Granite Staters agree - private medical decisions should be made by patients and their providers, not politicians and judges. Planned Parenthood will never stop fighting to ensure every person has access to the reproductive health care they need - no matter what.”
