Social Justice

Social justice is a broad movement to ensure all people have access, equity, rights, and participation in their communities and society. The fight for reproductive health and rights is one of many types of social justice movements. Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates recognizes that the fight for all to access reproductive healthcare is linked to many other fights within the larger social justice movement.

We understand that the patients we serve are complex and that barriers to healthcare often exist at the intersection of multiple identities, issues, and systems of injustice. That is why we stand alongside community partners not only fighting for reproductive health and rights, but also those working for reproductive justice, immigrant rights, racial justice, LGBTQ rights, economic justice, and more.
