10 Weeks of Action | Volunteer with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Texas

Last year, the State of Texas – led by impeached Attorney General Ken Paxton, Gov. Abbott– and an anonymous individual filed a $1.8 billion baseless False Claims Act (FCA) lawsuit against all three non-profit Planned Parenthood affiliates in Texas and the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. This lawsuit is a meritless and politically motivated attack on Planned Parenthood and the vital services that Planned Parenthood health centers provide, such as birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, and other essential care.

Not satisfied with banning abortion, the state of Texas and anti-abortion extremists are abusing their power to try to strip Texans of their access to all affordable sexual and reproductive health care and to achieve their decades-long goal of shutting down Planned Parenthood. The truth stands boldly before us: Planned Parenthood did not commit Medicaid fraud. We need your help! Unfortunately, not many of our supporters are aware of the lawsuit, and we need 200,000 supporters to sign our petition “Tell Texas: Drop the lawsuit against Planned Parenthood”. While we wait on the ruling on summary judgment to come down at any time, we are working to educate and mobilize our supporters.

We invite you to join our 2023 “Texans Need Planned Parenthood” Campaign!

  • Sign-up to participate in phone banking, canvassing, and text banks.

  • Register to host a house party with friends and family with any of the actions above or do a teach-in about “Why Courts Matter.”
