When We Decide We Win! 2024 Endorsements and the Importance of State Led Action
Last month, Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island Political Action Committee (PPV!RI PAC) proudly unveiled its initial endorsements for the upcoming 2024 General Assembly elections. This diverse group of 66 candidates, comprising 23 for the Rhode Island Senate and 43 for the Rhode Island House of Representatives, is dedicated to championing reproductive rights and expanding access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion, for all Rhode Islanders.

2024 Legislative Session Wrap-Up
The 2024 legislative session has officially come to a close and we are celebrating significant wins for protecting health care providers and expanding access to reproductive health care. This session, through the tireless work of the Health Care Provider Shield Act Coalition, advocates, and partners, Rhode Island officially passed the Health Care Provider Shield Act (S2262 and H7577).

RI Coalition for Reproductive Freedom Public Hearing Testimony Guide for H7255
WE SUPPORT:
Protecting Access to Birth Control with No Copay H 7255 (RELATING TO INSURANCE -- ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS INSURANCE POLICIES) this act would require every individual or group health insurance contract effective on or after January 1, 2025, to provide coverage to the insured and the insured's spouse and dependents for all FDA-approved contraceptive drugs, devices and other products, voluntary sterilization procedures, patient education and counseling on contraception and follow-up services as well as Medicaid coverage for a twelve (12) month supply for Medicaid recipients.
