Erwin Chemerinsky
Dean of University of California, Berkeley School of Law

Known as the “Father of Constitutional Law,” Erwin Chemerinsky currently serves as Dean of University of California, Berkeley School of Law and has authored over 11 books and 200 law review articles. Mr. Chemerinsky is one of the most eminent constitutional law scholars and was named the 2017 Most Influential Person in Legal Education in the United States. 

His most recent book, We the People: A Progressive Reading of the Constitution for the Twenty-First Century, has been described as the defining text on progressive constitutionalism. He also writes a regular column for the Sacramento Bee, monthly columns for the ABA Journal and the Daily Journal, and op-eds in newspapers across the country. He frequently argues appellate cases, including in the United States Supreme Court.
