On Wednesday, the United States Supreme Courtheard oral arguments in a challenge to Mississippi’s 15-week abortion banDobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, that will determine the future of Roe v. Wade and abortion access in the U.S. This has the potential to undo decades of progress, taking us back to a time when people were forced to stay pregnant with limited options. These bans are discriminatory and will especially impact BIPOC, people with low income, LGBTQ+, and rural people seeking abortion care.

We invite you to stand with the people of Mississippi and join the national Bans Off Our Body Day of Action. People across the country are rising up to defend abortion access because justice can't be achieved until every person can make their own decisions about their bodies, their lives, and their futures.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, join the Women’s Democratic Club of Utah and Planned Parenthood Action Council for a virtual mid-day happy hour fundraiser: Agency, Access, and the Future of Abortion in Utah! You’ll hear from Jacqueline Ayers, Planned Parenthood Federation of America/Planned Parenthood Action Fund Senior Vice President of Policy, Organizing, and Campaigns; Annabel Sheinberg, PPAC Utah's Vice President of External Affairs; and an abortion story from a special guest in Utah.

You'll come away from the event with:

  • A clear understanding of the national landscape for abortion access, national legislation, and how it affects Utahns;
  • Information about what our local Planned Parenthood team is doing to ensure Utahns keep receiving the care they need!

REGISTER TODAY!

Here are some other actions you can take right now:

Donate to Mississippi abortion funds.
Sign the pledge to protect abortion access.

Also on Saturday -- there will be an abortion justice rally at the Capitol organized by PSL - Salt Lake. The rally starts at 2 pm on the steps of the Utah Capitol.

Thank you for standing for abortion justice!
