PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: There’s still time to elect a reproductive rights champion this election cycle by voting in Arizona’s runoff races in March

Arizona’s future is bright, and due to two city council candidates not winning an outright majority in their races, we still have time to elect a reproductive rights majority in the Phoenix City Council this election cycle. We at PPAA have proudly endorsed Yassamin Ansari for Phoenix City Council in District 7 who will be a contender in the Arizona runoff races March 9th, 2021.

We’re fastly approaching the 2020 general election. NOW is the time to elect a pro-reproductive rights majority in Congress, vote for leaders who will protect our friends and families from the ongoing impact from years of relentless attacks on our health care, and cast your ballot for candidates who will expand our rights. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona is proud to endorse Felicia French and Coral Evans for the Arizona Senate and House of Representatives in legislative district 6, both contending to flip their district, and Dr. Geraldine Peten for re-election to the Arizona House of Representatives in District 4. Your vote will determine the fate of reproductive rights in this election.

PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: Less than 2 weeks until Election Day!

We are less than two weeks away from the 2020 general election! This year’s primary elections results proved that there is an unstoppable blue wave running through Arizona. However, we are still at the front lines in the battle against Donald Trump, Martha McSally, and the conservative agenda as our champions of reproductive rights within the Democratic Party are being targeted by challengers from the right. Therefore, it’s time to rally behind legislators who support our cause and other progressive values. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona is proud to support endorsed candidates’ Ajlan Kurdoglu, Jennifer Pawlik and Julie Gunngile vying for Senate, House and Attorney positions and who will fight for progressive causes.

PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: Make a plan to Get Out The Vote today!

We are quickly approaching the 2020 general election and we want to highlight three endorsed candidates for their prioritization of equity in terms of voting access, education, and community funding, among other things. PPAA is proud to endorse Gabriella Cazares-Kelly for Pima County Recorder, Jeanne Casteen for Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools and Whitney Walker for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, District 3. Every day, new headlines make it painstakingly clear that the majority of our current elected officials is out of touch with the needs of Arizonans today. If you are tired of having elected officials that don’t represent your communities, vote on November 3rd for these candidates who will fight for inclusivity and accountability.

PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: One Month to Election Day!

It’s officially October, which means early voting starts next week (October 7th) for this year’s 2020 general elections! Reproductive health has been under attack, both nationally and statewide, especially for Arizona where abortion access is on the line. If we want to make sure reproductive health measures are protected we need to elect officials in state and local office that share our values. That’s why we at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona are proud to endorse Adelita Grijalva for Pima County Board of Supervisors, District 5 and Betty Guardado for Phoenix City Council, District 5, two candidates who put our health and rights first.

PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: Elect School Board Candidates That Will Represent You!

School boards are not all identical. They represent multiple stakeholders and institutions within the community, such as parents, guardians, students, and educators. They represent nonprofit workers, health care workers, and business leaders. This varied set of perspectives allows for a more comprehensive ability to approach issues and concerns within schools and the community. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona is proud to endorse a diverse range of candidates running for K-12 school and college board districts in Maricopa County. This November, it’s our job, every one of us, to ensure that we elect school board members that represent our communities and are working with and for us!
