A History-Making Victory in Virginia
This election served as a broader signal of political momentum.
Everything was on the line.
This was the most critical election Virginians have ever faced. To protect abortion access and secure reproductive freedom for generations to come, voters elected Abigail Spanberger as governor and kept a pro-reproductive-freedom majority in the House of Delegates ensuring the Reproductive Freedom Amendment will appear on the 2026 ballot.
Virginia delivered historic victories for reproductive rights, electing Spanberger as the Commonwealth’s first woman governor and Ghazala Hashmi as the first Muslim American woman to win statewide office in the U.S. Their wins and the flip of 14 House seats cemented a powerful mandate to protect and expand reproductive freedom.
We knew what was at stake — that’s why we invested over $1.5 million to support House of Delegates and statewide candidates.
We organized through social media, paid digital ads, earned media, canvassing, phone banking, mail, and volunteer recruitment.
Our targeted mail program was designed to reach voters in key districts.
From the mailbox to the ballot box, voters had the tools and information they needed to make their voices heard. We didn’t just hold anti-abortion politicians accountable—we elevated the champions who have worked tirelessly to protect access in Virginia. It’s essential to recognize and celebrate the lawmakers who stand up for our right to control our bodies, our lives, our families, and our futures.
Our volunteers went door-to-door throughout the community.
We engaged 433 volunteers who powered our outreach—knocking on more than 20,000 doors in key swing districts and connecting with voters through phone banks to share essential information about the candidates on their ballots. Across four regions of Virginia, we hosted six Weekends of Action and led Get Out The Vote efforts to mobilize supporters statewide.
During the course of this campaign, we secured over 180 media hits.
This national spotlight on our work played a key role in helping Virginians understand the major investments being made across the Commonwealth. By highlighting these efforts, we aimed to motivate voters to get involved—whether by volunteering or casting their ballots—and to strengthen a shared sense of civic pride and empowerment throughout the state.
We engaged with influencers across our social media channels.
To leverage our strong social media presence, we developed organic content featuring real stories from people who have accessed abortion care—highlighting their commitment to ensuring voters had the information they needed to make an impact. Additionally, we created engaging social media graphics that shared critical information about candidates and voting.
We reached over 13 million impressions through digital ads.
We launched eight digital advertising programs, generating millions of impressions across key races:

Voters understood what was on the line — and acted decisively, electing Jay Jones as Virginia’s Attorney General to protect abortion seekers from criminalization in an increasingly hostile environment for reproductive rights.
