Seeking a PPAWI Endorsement?

Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin is proud to endorse candidates at the state and local levels to help inform our supporters of candidates who are champions of reproductive rights. Our endorsement process has many phases which are outlined below.

Endorsement Process

  1. Endorsement request is received either via email or at the recommendation of at PPAWI staff member and an interview with PPAWI’s Government Relations Staff is scheduled.
  2. Candidate is interviewed by Government Relations Staff.
  3. Candidate is sent survey.
**Please note that a completed survey, which is reviewed and scored by Government Relations Staff, is required to move forward with the endorsement process.**
  4. Once the survey is received, reviewed, and scored, the Government Relations Staff sends recommendation to our C4 board for a vote.
  5. Once the board approves the endorsement, candidate is notified via email and advised to not communicate or make requests of anyone of our Independent Expenditure side staff.
  6. Once candidate receives an official notification from our Government Relations Staff of the endorsement, candidate is free to advertise endorsements.

Please note that all previously endorsed candidates who seeking an endorsement for a seat in a different branch of government will have to be interviewed and complete a survey to be formally endorsed by PPAWI. For example, if PPAWI previously endorsed you for a state legislature seat and you are currently seeking an endorsement for a judicial or county board seat, you will be required to interview and complete a new survey in order receive PPAWI’s endorsement.

To be considered for endorsement please send an email requesting an endorsement interview to [email protected].. Please note, because of the requirements of our endorsement process, we will not consider any endorsement requests that are less than 3 week out from the election the request is made for.
