Our Candidate Endorsements

Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Votes PAC endorses candidates and works to elect lawmakers who will fiercely champion reproductive freedom. PPGNY Votes PAC is a non‐partisan organization that endorses and partners with candidates who support a full range of reproductive care.

Candidates are only eligible for endorsement if they have been rated highly by the PPGNY Action Fund.

Our Endorsement Process

  • All candidates, in order to be considered for endorsement, must receive a rating of 100% from PPGNY Action Fund. Click here for more information about that process.
  • While a 100% score from PPGNY Action Fund is required for consideration, the PPGNY Votes PAC Board will also consider candidate viability and public statements and positions on issues important to reproductive health care, such as advancing racial equity and social justice.
  • Endorsements will be made available via our social media platforms and on our website. PPGNY Votes PAC will consider incumbent candidates for early endorsement on a case-by-case basis.

A note for candidates for federal office:

  • Candidates for federal office receive endorsements from the national action fund, Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF).

  • If you are running for federal office from New York, please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions or to schedule an informational meeting.

  • All federal candidates must be interviewed by national Planned Parenthood Action Fund staff. Only candidates who score 100% on the Federal Candidate Questionnaire—or incumbents who score 100% on the Congressional Candidate Scorecard—are eligible for endorsement.
