Sara Gideon for U.S. Senate
As Maine Speaker of the House, Sara Gideon has been an outspoken leader for women, LGBTQ communities, and the people of Maine, and for sexual and reproductive health and rights, including access to safe, legal abortion. As a former Planned Parenthood patient so she knows what's at stake and has stood with us through think and thin (even during a blizzard) in our fight to protect the rights of our patients to get the care they want from a provider they trust. As a legislator and Speaker, she has championed:
✔ Medicaid expansion
✔ Protections for people with preexisting conditions
✔ and, fought to remove barriers to abortion for those struggling financially.
In 2019, the state of Maine, under Sara's leadership, did more to protect women’s rights and freedoms than the state has done in past decades. She was determined to keep the threats from Washington out of Maine. We are excited to support Sara Gideon in this race and congratulate all the people who are stepping forward to run for office this year. We are ready to send a new leader who will protect our rights and freedom to represent us in the US Senate.

Congresswoman Chellie Pingree is an incredible reproductive health champion who's fought tirelessly to protect and expand access to reproductive health care in Maine and nationwide, including:

✔ Fighting back against attempts to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.

As extreme anti-choice politicians attempt to turn back the clock on our sexual and reproductive health, strip away health care from millions, and dismantle the nation's family planning program, Congresswoman Pingree will always be in our corner fighting to protect our constitutional rights.
