From a long list of deplorable comments about women to his abysmal voting record and relentless attacks on health care, Rep. Lewis has made it clear that he is willing to support policy that is every bit as offensive as his comments, including gutting birth control protections in the ACA, defunding Planned Parenthood, and restricting access to safe, legal abortion.

Audio from a radio show hosted by Rep. Jason Lewis from 2009-2014 has is resurfaced exposing a series of misogynistic comments, like Rep. Lewis wondering why he can't use the word "slut" to refer to women who "behave like a slut" and stating that women “are more guided by emotion than reason.”

And that’s not all. Lewis’ long history of offensive comments don’t end with his disdain for women, he’s also made abhorrent statements about immigrants, LGBTQ folks, and people of color.

This November, Minnesota voters have the power to put this utterly unacceptable behavior to an end by electing Angie Craig, a leader who will fight for our values and stand up against bullies like Lewis.

This is one instance where Congressman Lewis’ actions clearly match his words. He has spent his time in Congress chipping away at women’s rights and freedoms, making good on the disdain he clearly has for the women he supposedly represents.

Minnesotans deserve better. Candidate Angie Craig is the change we need. She’ll fight for women and men across the state rather than insulting them and voting to strip their health care. This November, voters are going to show Congressman Lewis the door and welcome in a representative who will fight for equity and stand up for everyone’s health care.
