In a district carried by Donald Trump, Senator-elect Karla Bigham secured a key victory against a well-funded and very well-known Republican opponent.

Sen-elect Bigham’s election maintains the delicate one seat GOP majority in the state Senate.

The Planned Parenthood Political Action Fund ran a significant direct voter contact program in the district yielding hundreds of door knocks, thousands of phone calls and mail pieces and hundreds of thousands of digital ad impressions.

Despite the strong vote for a pro-women’s health candidate, last night’s election victory proves one thing: 2018 will be a contest for every vote

Every vote will matter and nothing can be taken for granted.

In 2018 the Planned Parenthood Action Fund is poised to run its biggest campaign to date.   We will train and deploy the thousands of activists that have flooded our organization and put them on the ground and on the phones in support of candidates that support Planned Parenthood’s vital services.
