Non-Engagement Policy

Planned Parenthood North Central States maintains a strict policy of non-engagement with opposition protesters.

As you show your support of Planned Parenthood, we ask that you:

  • Do not engage in conversation or any verbal exchange with opposition protesters.
  • Avoid being in physical proximity with opposition protesters. (Even inadvertent physical contact has led to assault charges being brought by opposition protesters in the past.)
  • Tell a staff person immediately if you have any type of encounter with an opposition protester.
  • Alert security staff or another staff member if you see activity you believe is illegal or unsafe. (Note that it is not illegal for opposition protesters to photograph patients, staff, or volunteers.)

If you see any suspicious items or violations of this non-engagement policy, please notify security staff immediately.

If you do not comply with this non-engagement policy, you will be asked to leave.

Above all else, we ask our supporters to focus on what matters most—Planned Parenthood patients.
