Missouri Election Results

three Democrats who flipped Republican seats are pro-reproductive health. We are heading into the 2019 legislative session with more pro-reproductive health lawmakers than in 2018. 

While we didn't win every race, we did make important gains while building power for the future. None of this would have been possible without the 100+ volunteers who completed 969 shifts knocking on doors, stuffing envelopes, and talking to voters on the phone and via text message — this was our most ambitious electoral volunteer program ever, and you made it happen! 

As we move forward and look toward the 2019 Missouri legislative session, we need to keep up our momentum. Our elected officials need to know we're not stopping our fight for Missourians' sexual and reproductive health and rights; add your name to the petition now! 

National Election Results

In a huge victory for reproductive health and rights, the U.S. House of Representatives flipped to a pro-reproductive health majority. Our votes sent a resounding message to elected leaders: Protect our health and rights, or we'll vote you out. And because of us, our government will look a whole lot more like the people who make up this country.

A record number of women ran and won, and we elected a number of historic firsts. But this pink wave didn't crest on its own. Champions of reproductive rights won because millions of concerned people like you stepped up and showed up. You showed up for LGBTQ people, communities of color, undocumented people, women, and more.

But our work isn't done yet. Far from it. Trump still wakes up in the White House every morning, determined to attack reproductive rights and roll back freedoms for millions of people. There will be plenty of attacks in the weeks and months to come — and we'll be right there fighting back. We'll be remiding our new leaders that we're sending them to Congress to defend our health and rights — no exceptions. They've got a job to do, and we're going to make sure they do it.

All ACA plans include essential health benefits, inclulding free preventive care, doctor visits, and prescription coverage. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify, and the majority of those who enroll on the Marketplace qualify for free or reduced-cost plans. Planned Parenthood's assister team has been hard at work during the first few weeks of the sixth Open Enrollment Period. To date, our assisters have enrolled 85 individuals in health insurance across the St. Louis and Southwest Missouri regions. We have also connected an additional 22 individuals to other safety net programs including the Gateway to Better Health Program and the Uninsured Women's Health Program.
