Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) works tirelessly to make sure all of its patients receive the care they need. Since President Trump took office, his administration has tried to gut health care access and take away our reproductive rights. And every step of the way, the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund has fought back. We need all the tools in our toolbox to make this happen—that is why we are asking YOU to share your Planned Parenthood story and get involved.
Are you or have you ever been a Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts patient? Did Planned Parenthood help you in a time of need?
Fill out this application here to join our patient Speakers Bureau to protect access to health care at Planned Parenthood and defend reproductive rights.
If you apply for our patient Speakers Bureau, you will have the opportunity to:
- receive unique trainings on media, messaging, and storytelling;
- advocate for important legislation at the Massachusetts State House; and
- share your Planned Parenthood story with reporters, on social media, and at rallies and events.
Members of the patient Speakers Bureau will participate in a full-day training in Boston on Saturday, December 9th, 2017. There will be two additional half-day trainings on January 20th, 2018 in Worcester and on February 10th, 2018 in Springfield that all members are encouraged to attend. The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund will reimburse all participants for travel and can help you coordinate your travel plans.
Your story is an important tool in the fight for reproductive health care access. Sharing your personal story about the care you’ve received at PPLM can help educate your neighborhood, your elected officials, and people across the state about the important role Planned Parenthood plays in keeping communities healthy.
With the recent attacks on birth control and reproductive health care access coming from the Trump administration, sharing your story is more important than ever to protect access to health care in Massachusetts. Fight back and help ensure that Planned Parenthood health centers can continue to provide care – no matter what.
Deadline to Apply:
