Join us to kickoff our endorsement!

Join us on Sunday, October 17th in Brighton Commons to kickoff our endorsement of Michelle and knock doors in the neighborhood!

Michelle's Record & Platform

Michelle is a proven champion of sexual and reproductive health and rights. She has the track record of not only fighting, but winning, for all Bostonians.

Paid Parental Leave

As new City Councilor and new mom, she led the fight to pass Boston’s first ever paid parental leave policy for city employees, supporting healthier families and helping new parents stay in the workforce. Her work set an example and built momentum for statewide policies. That’s the type of leadership we need now.

Expanded Leave for Pregnancy Loss

Councilor Wu values people’s lived experiences and understands that all people deserve compassionate pregnancy care. She helped expand Boston’s leave policy to ensure any city employee who experiences a pregnancy loss can take paid leave.

The ROE Act

The Mayor of Boston must be a vocal advocate for Planned Parenthood patients and reproductive health, rights, and freedom in the city and beyond. Councilor Wu publicly championed and advocated for the ROE Act. She will use her platform as Mayor to speak out against attacks on abortion rights, push for proactive policies that advance health equity, and uplift the stories of Planned Parenthood patients.

Insurance Coverage for Transgender Workers

Sexual and reproductive health care is part of the foundation of every person’s health, but transgender patients often face financial barriers to care due to inadequate or discriminatory insurance policies. Councilor Wu believes all people deserve affordable health care. She spearheaded an effort to guarantee insurance coverage for transgender city workers and their families.

Sex Education in BPS

Michelle recognizes sex education is a basic necessity for our young people, and is committed to ensuring that sex education is available to English language learners, and supporting teachers in creating creating safe, inclusive learning environments for LGBTQ+ students

Public Health and Safety

Everyone deserves to live in a city where they are equally protected and have the resources to be safe and healthy. Michelle’s platform prioritizes finding equitable solutions some of the most pressing public health issues of our time. Accessible public transportation, affordable housing options, a healthy environment, and reducing police violence are critical to supporting people leading healthy lives.

Michelle is running  to deliver bold, systemic change and redefine what is possible through activist city leadership across Boston.
