Both the House and Senate rejected Governor Baker's anti-abortion amendment that would have undermined the legislature's efforts to protect and expand abortion access in Massachusetts.

As the abortion access provisions head back to Governor Baker's desk, it's crucial that we urge him to sign them into law.  As written, these provisions offercommonsense reforms that will ensure all people can get abortion care when and where they need it without having to navigate medically unnecessary barriers or travel out of state.

Call Governor Baker and leave a message urging him to sign the legislature’s proposal to improve abortion access in Massachusetts into law.

When you call, you will hear a minute-long automated recording, and at the end you will be asked to leave a message if you have a comment for the Governor.

It’s most important to identify yourself as a constituent from YOUR community and share that you are calling to ask that Governor Baker signs equitable abortion access into law.

What to Say (Call Script)

Hi, my name is __________, and I live in ___________.

I was surprised and disappointed by your decision to return the legislature’s abortion access provisions with an amendment that would retain harmful barriers to care. I’m calling to urge you to sign the state legislature’s proposal  improve abortion access into law.

Massachusetts values reproductive rights, but our laws still uphold medically unnecessary barriers to care that delay and deny access to abortion.
