5 Important Ways To Help Our Champions Win

Check it out: Here are five of the most important ways you can take action in the final days leading up to the election. Will you join your fellow Planned Parenthood Action Fund Members and take action?

#2: Volunteer For Endorsed Candidates

Click one of the volunteer opportunities below to join Planned Parenthood Action Fund members and help elect pro-reproductive health champions across the country.

These are virtual volunteer opportunities, so you can sign up to help out anywhere you’d like. Each shift lasts 1-2 hours. You’ll be making calls or sending and replying to text messages — two highly effective ways to turn out voters! After you click the link, follow the provided instructions on how to get involved.

North Carolina

We need to win in North Carolina to create a Senate that will protect sexual and reproductive health. An hour or two of your time makes a difference!

We all know it: Pennsylvania votes are crucial to electing pro-reproductive health champions in November. Sign up for a shift today!

Arizona is a big priority on the path to winning on election day. Sign up for a shift and get involved!

We need more volunteers in Michigan — are you ready to join the crew? Fellow Action Fund Members are excited to see you online!

Volunteers are always needed in Iowa, and every shift you join helps elect pro-reproductive health candidates. Help make calls and send texts!

#3: Download Our Digital Swag Kit

Let your community know where you stand: We have resources to help you show up in style.

Download the kit to get social media cover photos & profile picture overlays, video conferencing backgrounds, and shareable images.

#4: Take Action On Social Media

The number one rule of organizing? Always be recruiting.

Never underestimate the power of reaching out to someone for a quick check-in. Our communities = our power. We’ve found that most people get involved when people they know directly reach out to them.

Share your story

Post on your social accounts to share why you support this candidate (or candidates!) in the 2020 elections. Most people tend to trust their friends and personal networks more than the news and appreciate it when you tell them what’s at stake in the election!

Get talking points about some of Action Fund’s priority Senate candidates here and check out PPVotes’ voter guide for more.

Help friends & family volunteer

Volunteering with a friend is always more fun — even virtually!

Find volunteer opportunities for Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s priority candidates, share them on your social accounts, and ask friends to join you.

If you don't know where to find volunteer opportunities, this is a good place to start.

Get creative!

Here’s a tip from a volunteer: Add everyone who follows you on Instagram to your “close friends” list. Who can resist that green story bubble??

Post a poll asking if everyone has a plan to vote. If people vote yes, direct message them and ask them to volunteer with you! You can share your favorite volunteer opportunities from here. If they vote no, ask them if they want help coming up with a plan.

#5: Get Your Network To Share Their Voting Plans

Ask your friends & family to commit to vote and to share their voting plan!

Whether they share the plan with just you, in a group chat, or on social media, coming up with a plan (however simple) is important to making people feel committed and comfortable talking to other people about their plans.
