First ad, “Yes-Man,” hits Sen. Cory Gardner for co-signing the Trump agenda and makes the case for John Hickenlooper

DENVER, CO — Today, Planned Parenthood Votes launched its first digital ad in Colorado slamming Senator Cory Gardner for his record supporting Trump’s cruel and racist health care policies. From now until Election Day, Planned Parenthood Votes’ six-figure ads program will work to secure Colorado’s nine electoral votes for Joe Biden and to remove Cory Gardner from office.

The new video advertisement, “Yes-Man," outlines how Gardner repeatedly voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, risking coverage for over 588,000 Coloradans. Gardner also worked alongside the Trump administration to restrict access to safe, legal abortion care, and is set to confirm another Trump SCOTUS nominee who may dismantle Roe. The ad encourages Coloradans to elect John Hickenlooper, a champion for health care, including sexual and reproductive care.

Statement from Jack Teter, Planned Parenthood Votes spokesperson:

“Senator Gardner will always side with Donald Trump and his party over Colorado families. When he’s not voting to strip away our health care and reproductive freedom, he’s catering to his special interest donors and selling us out. Coloradans deserve better. John Hickenlooper is the champion that we need advocating for our health and rights in the Senate."

This new ad is a part of Planned Parenthood Votes “We Decide 2020” electoral program. “We Decide 2020” is Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations’ largest electoral program ever - with a historic investment of at least $45 million in key battleground states during the 2020 cycle.

Senator Gardner is loyal to Trump and not to Colorado families.

Gardner voted with Trump’s agenda to repeal the Affordable Care Act again, and again, and again.

Jeopardizing health care coverage for 588,000 Coloradans.

Trump and Gardner worked to restrict abortion access, putting special interest donors ahead of Coloradans.

We don’t need Trump’s “Yes-Man,” Cory Gardner.

We need a health care champion for all Coloradans.
