Planned Parenthood Votes New Mexico
PPVNM advocates for creating and and protecting state policies that protect reproductive health care access, fights for effective sex education and prevention policies, protect a woman’s right to determine when and whether she becomes pregnant -- and challenges government interference in personal decisions that should be left to women and their families.
Newly released polling from January confirms what statewide abortion rights advocates have argued for most of this year’s legislative session: that keeping abortion care between a patient and their health care provider is extremely popular in New Mexico.
These individuals have consistently fought to keep abortion care between a patient and their health care provider, without meaningless political interference. They also voted in 2019 to remove a harmful, outdated abortion ban, which ultimately failed to pass in the Senate and which PPVNM will be seeking once again to remove in 2021.
