This election, New Mexicans demonstrated their deeply held belief in an individual's right to make their own personal decision about abortion care with their health care provider, without political interference
Planned Parenthood Votes New Mexico is pleased to announce additional endorsements for the 2020 election.
Newly released polling from January confirms what statewide abortion rights advocates have argued for most of this year’s legislative session: that keeping abortion care between a patient and their health care provider is extremely popular in New Mexico.
These individuals have consistently fought to keep abortion care between a patient and their health care provider, without meaningless political interference. They also voted in 2019 to remove a harmful, outdated abortion ban, which ultimately failed to pass in the Senate and which PPVNM will be seeking once again to remove in 2021.
PPVNM is charged with the political advocacy work necessary to protect and expand access to health care for our communities. A key element to the political advocacy work is supporting and electing individuals to public office who support full access to health care.
