Albuquerque, NM - Planned Parenthood Votes New Mexico Independent Expenditure Committee released a statewide TV ad campaign denouncing Republican candidate for Governor Mark Ronchetti and his radical anti-abortion views. The ad purchase is the largest in the organization’s history.

“New Mexico is a safe haven for abortion access, and we cannot afford to hold back in calling out extremists who are out of step with New Mexico values,” said Jack Teter, of the Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund.

The ad exposes Ronchetti’s extreme views on abortion. Conservative pastor Steve Smothermon recently revealed publicly that Ronchetti told him that his goal would be to end abortion in New Mexico” and admitted Ronchetti is hiding his extremism “because we won’t ever get elected.”  Ronchetti has been endorsed by the extreme anti-abortion group National Right to Life, which advocates for making abortion illegal in almost all circumstances.

“Ronchetti does not respect New Mexico women or our individual ability to make our own decisions about our reproductive health care. Access to abortion in New Mexico depends on defeating Ronchetti in November.”

The ad will be available on any streaming service or you can watch it embedded below.
