This election, New Mexicans demonstrated their deeply held belief in an individual's right to make their own personal decision about abortion care with their health care provider, without political interference. Voters sent a clear message that access to the full spectrum of reproductive and sexual health care is a New Mexico value by electing reproductive health care champions across our state.

Our work made a difference. We are proud to announce 94% of Planned Parenthood Votes New Mexico-endorsed candidates won their primary races! Even more, five PPVNM-endorsed grassroots challengers won state Senate primaries because they ran on a platform for expanded reproductive health care and the elimination of an outdated state abortion ban.

Even during a pandemic, 118 supporters from across the state showed their perseverance by coming together to make over 7,500 phone calls to get out the vote and support our champions. This victory for reproductive and sexual health would not have been possible without the dedication of our supporters across the state.

We are thrilled to congratulate our endorsed candidates who won their races last week:
