2020 New Mexico Election

For years, anti-reproductive rights politicians have worked to undermine our rights and our access to health care—most importantly by refusing to repeal an old law banning abortion in our state. Abortion care is health care, and the deeply personal decision to have an abortion deserves to stay between a patient and their health care provider, without unnecessary, harmful political interference.

As politicians in neighboring states have exploited a national pandemic as an excuse to limit health care access, it is more important than ever that New Mexico remain a safe haven for abortion care. Voters have the chance to elect champions who will work with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to protect women and families—and to send home politicians who believe an inhumane abortion ban represents New Mexican values.

Below is our list of reproductive rights champions this election who will fight to make health care coverage—including safe, legal abortion care—more accessible to all New Mexicans. Request an absentee ballot by May 28th, and make sure your voice is heard in this important election.
