The Biden-Harris administration racked up many important accomplishments for sexual and reproductive health in its first 100 days. But we’re just getting started.
Here’s how you can take action today to reclaim what’s rightfully ours:
Urge HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra to Enforce Medicaid’s Provider of Choice Requirement
Medicaid is the largest health insurance payer for sexual and reproductive health care in the nation. Federal Medicaid law guarantees patients the freedom to choose their provider of family planning services. That means patients can opt for care at Planned Parenthood health centers. But, state politicians opposed to reproductive health access — like policymakers in Texas — have been violating federal law by working to bar patients who have Medicaid coverage from accessing Planned Parenthood health centers.
Take Action
Nearly half of Planned Parenthood patients access their health coverage through Medicaid. Join Planned Parenthood in urging Secretary Becerra to enforce Medicaid’s free-choice-of-provider requirement.
Tell Congress to Permanently End the Global Gag Rule by passing the Global HER Act
One of the amazing actions President Biden took during his first days was to roll back the global gag rule, a vile attack on health care across the world. But the ever-present threat of a future president bringing it back undermines sustainable progress and partnerships around the world. To permanently end this rule — no matter who sits in the Oval Office — Congress must pass the Global HER Act.
Tell Congress: End the Global Gag Rule for Good
Congress MUST pass the Global Health, Empowerment and Rights (HER) Act to repeal the harmful global gag rule for good and protect access to care that’s #RightfullyOurs.
Bonus: Now that you’ve taken action, get others to do the same by sharing on social media!
