Who We Are

Planned Parenthood (PP) Black Community works to build movements that promote and protect the reproductive health and rights of African Americans. PP Black Community's work focuses on:

  • Partnering with key African-American serving institutions in order to create stronger communities and reduce health disparities.
  • Advocating for expanded women's health and rights, and ensuring access that enables people to take care of their health needs and their families.
  • Lifting up the voices of African Americans to demonstrate the solidarity and widespread popularity of reproductive health services and education, while changing the nation's discourse around these vital services.

Planned Parenthood works to protect and expand reproductive rights and ensure access to quality, affordable care for all. African Americans for Planned Parenthood works each day to bring that reality to fruition and hope you too will join us to advocate for that vision.

By educating and engaging African Americans in changing the discourse around sexual and reproductive health, we will be able to continue the mission to advance and protect access to health care in the community.
