New York, NY --   Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, today released the following statement in response to Hillary Clinton’s speech in Florida:

“Today Hillary Clinton passionately laid out her commitment to supporting and defending women and families while vigorously denouncing Donald Trump and I couldn’t be prouder to have her in our corner.

“While Hillary Clinton has spent her lifetime advancing the rights of women and families, Trump has spent his entire career degrading women and has never been held accountable for his dangerous actions or demeaning rhetoric. That will change come next week. Women like former Miss Universe Alicia Machado are refusing to be silent, they are speaking out and  standing up and saying ‘enough is enough. On Election Day, women will hold him accountable and we will be the reason he isn't elected President. ’

“Women have the chance to make history this election in seven days by putting the greatest champion of equal pay, access to health care, and reproductive rights in history in the White House while sending a rampant misogynist who brags about assaulting women into obscurity. The choice is clear.”
