New York, NY – Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards today put the following statement out in response to Hillary Clinton’s speech on Donald Trump’s rampant misogyny and racism.

“Donald Trump has been a disaster for this country since day one of his campaign. He’s said women should be punished for getting an abortion, classified pregnancies as an inconvenience for employers, and has called women ‘fat pigs’ and ‘disgusting.’ Trump continues to incite violent hatred against immigrants, Muslims, Blacks, and Latinos, among others. His rhetoric is condescending and insulting to Americans, who deserve a real leader. Donald Trump has shown his true colors throughout his campaign, and a Trump presidency is a terrifying prospect.

“The contrast between these two candidates could not be more stark. Hillary Clinton has proved time and time again that she is the progressive, inclusive champion America needs. She’s the candidate with the strongest record on women’s and reproductive rights ever, and her career has focused on breaking down barriers, building bridges and creating opportunities. The Planned Parenthood Action Fund and our members are with Hillary – and will be with her all the way to the White House this November.”
