Richards Campaigned With Clinton Across State

Washington. DC -- Planned Parenthood Action Fund issued the following statement from President Cecile Richards today on Hillary Clinton’s victory in the Empire State.

Statement from Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund:

“New Yorkers have shown us what we already know: Hillary Clinton has the momentum and leadership to lead our country as President. While access to reproductive health care continues to be under attack from every Republican presidential candidate, now more than ever we need a leader to stand up to politicians trying to cut birth control, life-saving cancer screenings, and access to safe, legal abortion.  With Hillary in the White House, women will have an advocate for equal pay, affordable birth control, and someone who truly values health equity and reproductive rights.”

“Tonight, we’re one step closer to Hillary fighting for all of us as President.”

Richards spent Monday campaigning in New York City at a rally alongside Clinton in Manhattan. They were joined by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. Earlier in the month, Richards also traveled to Croton-on-Hudson, Kingston, Rhinebeck, and Newburgh to rally other volunteers at organizing events in the Hudson Valley area on behalf of Clinton.
