Las Vegas, NV Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, issued the below statement following tonight’s presidential debate:

Tonight, Hillary Clinton proved without a shadow of a doubt that she is the only candidate qualified to be president. Hillary reiterated her commitment to serve all Americans, to upholding Roe v. Wade, allowing women, not politicians, to make the best decisions for their lives, and to protecting the critical care provided at Planned Parenthood health centers around the country.

"In stark contrast is Donald Trump. Not only did Americans hear Donald Trump clearly indicate he would work to overturn Roe, he also showed he has absolutely no understanding of women's experiences whatsoever. No politician should be able to dictate personal decisions for women and families, certainly not one like Donald Trump who has bragged about sexually assaulting women. This is not a man who has the temperament to be president.

"Hillary’s lifelong record of fighting for women and families and her ongoing commitment to women’s health make her the clear choice in this election – and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund is with her every step to the White House and beyond.”
